The Verdict
A confession before anything else: we think we may have over-rated this pancake. But you only get one rating, and what we give is what you get. That is the rule, and we are not going to start bending it now.
The stack earned its category honestly. Standard thickness. Standard doneness. Standard mouthfeel. Standard density. Standard is not an insult around here — it is the whole benchmark, the thing every specialty gets measured against. This is what a pancake is supposed to be, without ever trying to be more than that.
One knock: we noticed a bit of undercook in the last pancake of the stack. Bottom of the pile, and it showed.
The panel split. Liam gave it a 10, almost certainly out of pure joy at seeing a pancake on a plate at all. And Dylan turned his back on all of us and ordered a waffle. The Chief Stack Officer landed on 7, and the Chief Stack Officer is the one who files the score. The official number is a 7.
Service, though — service was excellent. Warm, quick, genuinely friendly. That part is not a 7.

Total neighborhood joint. No wait at 8:30 on a Saturday morning, which around here is close to a miracle. No reservations to make, no waitlist to join, no seasonal window to plan around. Show up.
