The Verdict
Start with the thing that earns points before anyone picks up a fork: the syrup is real maple. Big kudos. Plenty of places that should know better are still pouring the fake stuff, and we notice.
The plain stack was solid — a nice cook, not too dense, little bit of edge crisp. A friendly stack.
Dylan had the blueberry as the best thing on the table: well cooked, plenty of berries, no stingy scattering.
Miles took a swing at the Cookie Monster — cookie crumbles in the batter, cookie batter topping over the whole thing. He gave it a 9 and left the table shaking from the sugar rush. Draw your own conclusions about the objectivity of that score.
Cool vibe in the restaurant. Service was OK — it did the trick, but nothing too memorable.
Plan Ahead — Weekends Get Busy
This place fills up on weekend mornings. They take reservations, and you can also hop onto a virtual waitlist from their website before you leave the house — do that and you will save yourself a stretch of standing around Legacy Place.
One more thing: the non-pancake side of the menu is inventive and worth exploring. We are a pancake site, so pancakes are what we score, but do not let that stop you.
